Fluffy Vegan Chocolate mousse

This is the most yummiest dessert ever, its healthy, quick and easy! The only not so healthy part is the cream but you can remove it from the recipe if you are picky. With deserts I try to make them as healthy as possible it defintly contains sugar but its natural I never use processed sugar.

So you will need these ingredients for the mousse:

  • Organic cocoa powder (1/4 cup)
  • Dates ( 8 dates)
  • Maple syrup (1/3 cup)
  • Coconut milk (1.5 cup)
  • Vanilla (1 tsp)
  • Avocado (optional but it will make it more fluffy and you won’t taste it at all) (1.5 cup)

For the toppings:

  • Canned coconut milk
  • Organic peanut butter

Start by mixing all ingredients in a mixer, make sure it blends properly, place it in a bowl or a small cup.

Then for the coconut milk you have to refrigerate it overnight to get creamy consistency. Open the can and add the top creamy part in a mixer by its own and keep blending till its nice and soft. you can also research how to make coconut whip cream if you’re confused! add the cream on top of the mousse and place the peanut butter on the side!

During my 30 days detox from social media …

It has helped me in so many ways to look after myself mentally and physically, to not just be on my phone for hours scrolling down for no reason. Its just a freeing feeling to be able to be present with yourself, your thoughts and connect deeply with yourself. Of course this won’t make sense to everyone, its only for people who are willing to always find ways to improve and spend their time wisely. I have been always taking time off once in a while but it was my first time experiencing being away for 30 days which was a massive step for me and I loved every part of it. I allowed myself to feel every feeling, process many thoughts and work on different creative projects like starting a small business plan, creating Youtube videos, journaling and more. I also did yoga every day which has helped me to keep sane and enjoy my time alone. It is something that I will definitly always do once in a while, it is a healthy habit that keeps you focused in real life more.

مسيرتي في الرياضة – My fitness story

قررت أكتب ها البوست بالعربي و الانقليزي .. فراح ابتدي بالعربي أول

I decided to do this post in Arabic and English so will start with Arabic first.
٢٠١٣
بديت في ٢٠١٣ تقريباً، كنت طول حياتي ضعيفة و كنت أكل اللي ابيه ف أبداً ماحطيت في بالي اني في يوم راح أمتن. يوم سافرت ادرس برع في ٢٠١٠ بديت اكل وايد من ضغط الجامعة و كنت مستانسه على الاكل لان كان شيء جديد. في ها الوقت ماكان عندي توعية في الصحة و لا في الرياضة و لا كان يجي في بالي اني في يوم بروح جم كان شي بعيد عن خيالي. من يوم ما انا صغيرة ماكنت وايد صحية وكنت اكل أي شي يكون في خاطري، وطبعا تعرفون فالخليج ماكان في ذاك الوقت عندنا توعية او حتى مطاعم صحية ! في سن المراهقة كنت وايد اكل وجبات سريعة وماكنت افكر في ضررها لان كنت عادي اكل بشكل يومي. في سنة ثانية جامعه تقريباً في ٢٠١٣ فجأة حسيت اني بديت امتن و ماحسيت ان جسمي كنت مرتاحة فيه و اول مرة في حياتي امتن ١٠ كيلووو! الكل لاحظ عليّ بس ماكنت متينه بس ماكنت “فت” و ماكنت داخلياً مرتاحة ! فجأة بديت ابحث عن الموضوع و اتابع أشياء في يوتيوب و اسوي تمارين فالشقة و بديت اكل صحي و قررت احط لي هدف ان جسمي يصير فت و كان حلمي ابني عضلات “خفيفة” و اني أكون اقوى. و بعدها سجلت في جم قريب من شقتي ، كنت اروح دايماً حتى وانا مضغوطة فالدراسة و من ها اليوم ماقطعت الجم و الرياضة لين اليوم الحمدلله.
 
٢٠١٣ – ٢٠١٦
 
أول مابديت هالمشوار قررت أكل اكل صحي و نظيف على قد ماقدر يمكن صرت ٩٠٪ صحية كان هدفي أخسر الوزن اللي زدته و اني اغير نمط حياتي بما ان صار عندي وعي و صرت استنكر من الاكل الغير نظيف و نادر ماكنت اخربط ! و فعلاً حسيت بتغيرات في جسمي و كنت احس اني خفيفه و مرتاحة .و لاني في ذاك الوقت كنت عايشة في لندن فكان وايد سهل بالنسبة لي كل مكان تحصلون اكل صحي ينباع. كنت أحاول ابتعد عن المواد الحافظة و احس صار عندي هووس في الاكل الصحي و احس ها الشي غلط لان الواحد يعقد نفسه، ضروري الموازنة! كنت مب أي شي اكله، بس الحلو اني بدلت كل شي مو صحي بشي صحي، و لكن حالياً قمت احس اني لازم اوازن أحيانا بس اكلي بشكل عام يكون صحي اكثر من ماهو مب صحي. و بعد وقفت المشروبات الغازية و العصاير اللي مو فرش و صج صج لاحظت بفرق.قطعتهم لمدة سنتين و حالياً نادر نادر ما اشتهيهم بس ممكن مرة فالشهر بالكثير.
مع الجم و الاكل ضعفت وايد وايد .. و فجأة يوم رجعت الدوحة في ٢٠١٥ اكتشفت اني ضعفت بزيادة و كلش ماكان عاجبني الوضع و خاصة لان تعودت اني ما اكل وايد فكان صعب ابني عضل و كنت بس اخسر الوزن. فبعدها صار عندي هدف جديد اني ازيد بس بالعضل و جربت مع كذا مدربة و ماحسيت ان وحدة فيهم كانت تعطيني الدافع و تحمسني! و صج مشوار زيادة الوزن و العضل بالنسبة لجسمي جداً صعب لان طبيعتي احرق بسرعه فلازم اكل وايد و بسرعة اخسر العضل لو وقفت كم أسبوع. في نهاية ٢٠١٦ لقيت المدربة المناسبة اللي مازالت تدربني (نيرا من سيرلانكا) و منها لقيت افضل نتيجة و صرت احس بتحسن كل سنة تمر عليّ.
٢٠١٧-٢٠١٩
استمريت فالتمرين مع مدربتي لاني ارتحت لها و هي مثل صديقتي، ماحس علاقتي معاها مجرد بس نتمرن و خلاص و هاي اللي يخليني اتحمس ان نغني، نضحك نرقص و التمرين يكون ممتع مب ملل ما انصح أي احد يتمرن مع شخص مايكون مصدر الالهام له، حتى لما احس بكسل هي تحمسني و ماتخليني الغي الكلاس بدون سبب مقنع و دايما تخليني غصب اسوي أشياء اصعب عشان الاقي تحسن، فلو تحسون المدرب مالكم مب زين على طووول غيروه لان صج يلعب دور كبير. و في ها الفترة من ناحية الاكل أحاول اكل اكثر عشان احتاج بروتين للتمرين و لكن أحاول اوازن ماصرت صحية تماماً نفس اول و أي شي في خاطري ما اخليه بس اهم شي اوازن و ما اخذ راحتي بزيادة و صج حالياً وايد اخربط بس بعد لازم يكون الاكل الصحي جزء من حياتي و أتمنى ارجع اكل صحي نفس اول…

 خلاصة الموضوع ، صج استوعبت ان مهمى وصلتو دايم الهدف بيتجدد عندكم و مهمى سويتو ماردكم تبون تكونون احسن، خذو الرياضة كلايف ستايل مو شي غصب لان اللي ماعنده هدف و مايسويه عن شغف صعب يستمر! و اهم شي يكون ها الشي لنفسكم مب عشان الناس تشوفه لان الصحة و الرياضه صج يغير فالنفسيه و احس الجم يعطي الواحد طاقة مب طبيعيه يعني لما أوقف فترة قصيرة احس جسمي صج يتكيسل ! عطو نفسكم بريك لو تحتاجون بس اهم شي ترجعون ، و صج فالبداية وايد صعب و يحتاج وقت و يمكن تطولون فالنتيجة بس صدقوني لما تبتدون تحسون بفرق بيصير الشي ادمان و الجم بالنسبه لي مكان احس ارتاح فيه نفسياً. و لا تنسون ان مايصير تمرين بدون اكل يعني مو تقطعون الاكل عشان تضعفون لان الجسم يحتاج اكل عشان يحرق و عشان تجيكم طاقه و ٨٠٪ من اللي تسوونه يعتمد على الاكل. وحتى لو مشغولين في الدراسة او دوام او أطفال.. حاولو تسوون وقت ولو شويه و صدقوني بيعطيكم طاقة اكثر. حتى في فيديوهات في يوتيوب تقدرون تتباعونها عشان تساعدكم..
 و بس حبيت اشارككم برحلتي لان احس ها الشي كان جزء كبير من التغيير في حياتي و يمكن الكلام يفيد أي احد.
My health and fitness journey ….
2013
It all started in 2013, when I was living in the UK to study. I was slim during my childhood and my teen years so I never knew what it meant to gain weight. I was no where near healthy around that time, I used to eat whatever I wanted and just live on junk food and whatever I literally craved. I wasn’t educated about health and fitness and never ever thought that I would register at the gym, it never came to my mind. When I moved to the UK the food was so tempting for me so I started to eat too much with university stress, food was my comfort. In second year University, I gained so much weight so in 2013 was the year where I was like “Woo Noor you gotta stop” and decided to search more about health and sign up at the gym. I gained 10 KGs! It wasn’t that bad but for me it was because I always was used to having a body without so much fat and I’m quiet petite so for me 10 KGs was a lot.
2013-2019
 
When I started taking this step seriously I realised an instant change in my body and in how I felt from the inside and the outside. Working out helped to release all the negative energy and made me feel so much better and less stressed especially when I was overloaded with university work it actually made me concentrate more on my studies. I registered at the nearest gym and started to go at least 4-5 times a week, my goal was to lose fat and just become fit, my dream was to be strong and to have six packs lol , I had a picture in my head of how I wanted to be and I didn’t care how long it would take so I worked hard towards it. The most important thing is I was doing it for me. 
When I came back to live in Qatar in 2015, I registered at gym straight away. In 2015, I realised I lost a lot of weight and became too slim which I wasn’t really happy about, I know what matters is for you is be healthy but I wanted to always become better, till this day I’m always trying to improve. After losing a lot of weight, my next step was to increase my weight by increasing muscles which was the hardest process ever. I tried going with nearly 5 different personal trainers but I never had satisfying results and I felt they didn’t have the personality to motivate me and make me so excited! When I finally met “Nira” my personal trainer from Sri Lanka I never stopped training with her, she is still my trainer now for about 3 years. We became friends and our workouts are always fun, we sing, dance and laugh not only train. I find it so hard to train with someone that doesn’t motivate me or makes me laugh and enjoy the training session. If you can’t train with a trainer you can also learn online but you have to be very careful. I always train with a trainer because I need results every year, even if I do have experience in using some of the equipment’s I find it much easier due to my busy schedule to just go with a trainer which understands exactly what I need, I also go sometimes on my own when I feel like it. It is quite pricy but I don’t feel bad cause it’s something worth investing in.
I was so happy to see the results that I always dreamed of and every year I would see myself progressing! It’s a never-ending process every year I find myself wanting to be better and stronger.

 

 

Now I am at a stage where I have to maintain and still work on becoming stronger.
You definitely have to start somewhere and most importantly eat well, because food is about 80% and 20% depends on the training. It will be hard at the beginning but you will get there just focus, work hard and make “working out” a part of your lifestyle.
I will end this by saying “start somewhere”.

My trip to Athens and Santorini Island – 2016

Its time to update my previous trips. so I decided to upload my previous travel photos and include my opinion about each country. Bare with me as it takes loads of time for me to refresh my information. Thought it would be nice to have an online guide of places I previously visited its way easier to get information than depending on Instagram.

 

In 2016, I visited Greece for nearly 6 days, 2 in Athens and 4 in Santorini Island. It was such a beautiful trip, full of history, activities and also had a chance to chill, relax and enjoy beautiful sceneries of the beautiful Island.

Athens 

The reason why I wanted to go is to visit the historical monuments, Athens is well known with its history and its ancients sightseeings. I think a day or two is more than enough, I didn’t really like the city in general so I think if you don’t like history and not that interested then don’t go. Most probably you would need to layover there to take and internal flight to the Island.

Santorini Island 

What I loved about Santorini is that it has everything! amazing food, nice people, amazing shops that sell handmade stuff. Santorini is so chill compared to Mykonos, its known as a very romantic Island where couples travel to get married or to go on their honeymoon. Its a busy Island depending on the season, but you have so many options for hotels and you can book a hotel with a private pool if you don’t swim in public. Its quiet pricey to be honest so I guess you need to budget for it in advance!

In Santorini I had a chance to relax and disconnect, I did many activities like horse riding in the beach (A must do), I also did (Santorini volcano cruises) where you get to see the sunset and have lunch we booked ours with a group that we didn’t know and it was a fun way to meet people, you can have a private one too. In this tour, you can swim near the volcano if you want to and the guides cooked for us fresh food on the cruise!

I loved Thera and Oia villiage my favourite two places, Oai is known for the picture perfect spots and for the amazing sunset views. Everywhere is so picture perfect in Santorini so make sure you take pretty outfits with you!

Transportation is the worst! you hardly find taxis there, so it’s better to rent a car there use a local bus or check with the hotel if the offer transportation. We were lucky that our hotel offered private cars to take us around, so make sure you sort out your transportation situation in advance.
